We are proud to announce that Fatal Flash – drag artist, activist, visionary, and Chairwoman of The LGBT life e.V. – has been awarded the prestigious international We Create Space Award 2025 in the category “Queer Leader”.
This award honors outstanding leadership, innovative thinking, and a lasting contribution to building an inclusive future for LGBTIQ+ communities around the world.
The award ceremony took place on June 21, 2025, in Barcelona and brought together activists, artists, politicians, and representatives of international human rights organizations.
The jury recognized Fatal Flash for her tireless commitment to LGBTIQ+ refugees, her work in creating safe spaces, and her powerful fusion of art, politics, and resistance in the fight for dignity and visibility of marginalized voices.

The LGBT life e.V., founded by Fatal Flash in Berlin, has become a symbol of resistance and hope for thousands who have experienced displacement, violence, and discrimination.
Her artistic and political practice transforms trauma into strength – and vulnerability into collective survival power.
Acceptance Speech by Fatal Flash:
“This award is not just recognition of my work – it is proof that the exiled, the broken, the different can become light.I stand here on behalf of all whose voices were silenced, who hid, fled, survived. I was reborn – as a refugee, a drag queen, a leader.I thank We Create Space for not being afraid of the space we create. This is not just a stage. It is an altar, a platform, a manifesto. My deepest thanks go to my team at The LGBT life e.V., to every sister, every brother, my chosen family, and the allies who held me when I fell. I dedicate this award to my people – the outcast, the outcast, the outcast. We will no longer be silent. We have not only survived – we have been reborn. May our strength and our love carry us forward.”
